Training
Henry studied Oriental Medicine for nine years, completing three - year diplomas in Chinese Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture and Shiatsu.
Henry has undergone clinical placements in hospitals in Shanghai, Beijing and Nanjing. These have involved using acupuncture and herbal medicine in oncology, gynaecology and neurology.
Henry continues regularly to attend post - graduate courses and workshops in Chinese Herbal Medicine.
He has completed Isobel Cosgrove's one year training in mentoring for acupuncturists.
He has studied Chinese History and Philosphy extensively, his Masters Degree thesis being on reform in post - Mao China.
Experience
Henry has been studying and practicing oriental Medicine since 1993, and taught it since 2000. He has lectured in several universities and colleges, and is the Acupuncture Course Director for the College of Naturopathic Medicine (www.naturopathy-uk.com), which teaches acupuncture in London and Bristol.
He runs a herbal pharmacy containing around 150 herbs, and dispenses directly to patients.
He is employed by the British Acupuncture Council as a Continuous Professional Development Co ?ordinator, and in this capacity organises support groups for Acupuncturists in the Bristol area.
