Brother Mark has been apparently content in his Greek monastery for 15 years. Then one day a letter arrives from an old friend in Newcastle Upon Tyne who is dying. The friend needs to share something important with Mark before he dies, and begs him to visit. Reluctantly, Mark makes the journey.
